Draft Housing Strategy (18 October - 13 December 2024)
On 8 October 2024, Cabinet agreed to the public consultation of Great Yarmouth Borough Council's draft Housing Strategy.
The draft Housing Strategy sets out the vision and objectives for the next 5 years alongside an action plan to ensure these objectives are achieved.
The vision of this strategy is:
To enable a thriving housing market in which the residents of the Great Yarmouth Borough have access to a suitable home, which is healthy, safe, efficient and affordable.
The three key objectives being:
- meeting the housing needs of our current and future residents
- quality housing for all
- access to suitable and sustainable housing
Great Yarmouth Borough Council welcomes comments on the Strategy from residents, stakeholders and partners.
The consultation is open until 13 December 2024.
Proposed Housing Strategy (2024-2029)
Our new Housing Strategy identifies the needs of the borough and sets out a policy framework as to how we intend to meet need through our ambitious plans for regeneration and renewal, ensuring quality housing across all tenures and the delivery of new homes.
