Hello Bowlers! It is important for us to periodically survey those attending events in Great Yarmouth to ascertain where our visitors are coming from and how they spend their free time. This information can then be used to assist us in gaining sponsorship for the event and ensuring its continued success. If you are only spectating, please feel free to complete a survey too.
Closed: draft revised Gambling Policy (5 August - 4 October 2024)
Under the Gambling Act 2005, licensing authorities are required to review their Statement of Principles (Gambling Policy) every three years. As our current policy expires on 31 January 2025 we need to review it and this includes completing a public consultation on the new document.

Great Yarmouth is investing in the future of our Borough and we want to find out what matters to people that live, work, study, create, visit or do business in the Borough. As part of creating our plan for the Borough for the next 5 years we want to hear from as many residents, stakeholders, community organisations and businesses as possible. Closed - Great Yarmouth Borough Council Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy - Public Consultation (28 November 2023 - 7 January 2024)
The Council recently commissioned an independent review of homelessness in the Great Yarmouth local authority area and has drawn up a Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy based on the results of that review.
Closed: New CCTV consultation for Great Yarmouth Borough Council (27 Nov 2023 - 16 Feb 2024)
Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Norfolk Constabulary are proposing to install 11 CCTV cameras in Great Yarmouth, to increase the public's feeling of safety by deterring antisocial behaviour. We are keen to hear from residents, businesses, community groups and sports clubs on what impact this change may have.

As government funding continues to decrease, we need to strike a balance between a revised scheme that is fair and affordable for those who receive support, and also for all our residents who receive council services. However, we remain committed to providing the maximum level of support for those with the lowest income.

Closed: Winter Gardens - design survey (22-30 July 2023)
Great Yarmouth Borough Council has received a Heritage Horizons Award from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to work on our exciting plans to revitalise the iconic Winter Gardens, restoring the iron and glass structure to its former glory as a People's Palace on the town's seafront. Here we are sharing the concept designs for the repair and refurbishment of the Winter Gardens which have been developed by the design team at Burrell Foley Fischer, in close collaboration with Great Yarmouth Borough Council, specialist partners and stakeholders.
